Raleigh Hip-Hop Artist REG Unveils Captivating Visuals for His Single ‘The Masquerade’

REG is a rapper, producer, and songwriter from Raleigh, North Carolina. He is of Sierra Leonean descent and grew up loving poetry and music. In High School, he started playing the clarinet while Poets like Maya Angelou and Langston Hughes inspired him. As he got older, he developed a passion for hip-hop music and began writing his own songs. REG taught himself how to produce beats and sample records, then eventually started performing at open mics. REG is passionate about live performance and believes the crowd deserves a great show. KRS-One, Rakim, Ice Cube, Nas, 2Pac, Public Enemy, and The Notorious B.I.G are the artists that heavily influenced him.

REG has released several songs and EPs, and his debut album, “Evil Surrounding The Positive,” was released in 2017. The project was primarily produced by REG himself and one that REG claimed he was particularly proud of. One of the songs “Lustful Ecstasy” featured friend and fellow R&B artist Germaine has been recognized on a French blog. REG continues to work on music as well as doing his podcasting on his YouTube channel. After dropping some more singles and EPs he dropped his project “RAW” in 2020. Standing for Reggie At War, “RAW” features a more hard-hitting sound compared to the previous albums. It has been described by Tunedloud as “The full blow to the gut only deepens with each subsequent listen, because once the frenzy of the music sets you up for what seems like a T.K.O. - the killer punch arrives with the lyrics.”

“I
don't rap about materialistic themes but more on an introspective/empowerment vibe.”

Although the pandemic came that same year, REG has been slowly crafting another project he calls “Murder By The Symphony.” While doing that, he came up with an EP the next year called “Captivated Murderer.” Something of a precursor, the EP is supposed to represent the murder of the positive vibes once the events of the pandemic and the George Floyd riots happened but still wakes up their critical thought. “Murder By The Symphony” is expected to be due out later this year.

In 2023, REG released the single “The Masquerade” which was written and produced by the aforementioned rapper. The song is a single from his upcoming project “Murder By The Symphony.” The song is a testament to asserting dominance and letting yourself know about the self-worth one can endure. The production has an interesting and distinctive sound with an atmospheric beat switch during the middle of his verses. The drums were influenced by hip-hop producer Timbaland and focused on the spacey yet heavy percussion that still has a fast rhythm.

Be sure to connect with REG on all social media platforms; the visual is also available on YouTube.

[VIDEO] Carlito Black - "Kawhi" | @ItsCarlitoBlack

Carlito Black releases the visual to his Latest Banga "Kawhi"

Carlito Black, born DeCarlo Serrano, is an exceptional lyricist with an aggressive delivery. He was born and raised in Carol City -an impoverished northern suburb of Miami, Florida -also known as Murda Gardens. The Southern lyricist operates independently and self-funded under his imprint, Blueprint Music Group. Similar to Nipsey Hussle and Crenshaw, He is incorporating his hood into a diverse marketing strategy. His 10-year scenic route to popularity has chiseled him into a polished artist, songwriter, producer, and business-savvy hustler. Also known as “Baby Jefe,” Carlito’s self-proclaimed title seems to be the theme of his strategic fearlessness.

Carlito Black infuses gritty conscientious lyrics into an energetic trap nostalgia with distinctive signature sounds. His content reflects the mind of an unorthodox critical thinker with exceptional penmanship. Black has delivered tracks like "Cross Da Border, Ain't Asking, and ThugLife" which can be heard on platforms like Spotify. Representing his Jamaican roots and Dominican Republican bloodline, the self-made mogul offers dynamic vocals laced with random Spanglish lingo and patois accents. Despite the overwhelming lack of support from the 305 veterans, Dade County’s black sheep and owner of B.P.M.G. Blueprint Music Group is the most slept on independent artist in Hip-Hop! Be sure to connect with Carlito Black on all social media and digital music platforms.

[VIDEO]SYCKCEZZY - "BLUE FACES" FT. STEVIE STONE | @SYCKCEZZYSHORTY

SyckCezzy connects with Stevie Stone on his Latest Banga, "Blue Faces" Visual

Ice-T and Henry "Hen Gee" Garcia's label, Final Level Music has emerged another hardcore artist and his name is SyckCezzy. The soon-to-be Los Angeles artist was born in Missouri and raised in Richmond Virginia. Growing up on the southside of Richmond wasn't the ultimate dream for the young Syck but it was an experience. Although he grew up on welfare, his mother and stepfather made it work. While his stepfather was working, his mother took care of the family which proved challenging in a neighborhood where something was always going on.

"I'd change nothing at all because I wouldn’t be- who I am today- if I did."

In 2010, SyckCezzy begins to take rap more seriously after his cousin introduces him to it. His style lyrically represents his truth and the lifestyle he lives. Let's say the South, influenced by the Midwest. When in creative mode and to prevent writer's block, SyckCezzy likes to lock in on the task at hand. Occasionally, he prefers to write before a studio session. He diligently tests flows and techniques bar from bar-before choosing which ones to use on a track.

"I'm a "reality" rapper that's what I consider myself ... You can’t fit me in a certain type of box"

SyckCezzy pays homage to his mentor, Henry "Hen Gee" Garcia, a successful music industry professional and his close friend Tone Gee from Minnesota. has experienced some memorable studio sessions while being a Final Level Music Artist. He would like to work with some notable figures in the game like Gucci Mane, J. Cole, Travis Scott, and Zaytoven.

SyckCezzy prides himself as a diverse artist that works with all genres of music. Ten years from now, Syck will focus on different phases and styles that the hip-hop genre has gone through over the last few decades. With a winning strategy in place, SyckCezzy plans to put his people in a position to win along with giving back to his people. His message to the youth is strong- "Please educate yourselves by paying attention, follow your dream, work hard, and don't accept "NO" as an answer." The rapper/entrepreneur has a new business venture and it is 'Syck Wine' to build generational wealth. Other rappers have done this through apparel and electronics for example.

If it wasn't for the Creator, HenGee, and Ice-believing in me and allowing me to be part of the Final Level Music/Syndicate Brotherhood- I don't know where I'd be in life"

SyckCezzy's new single "Blue Faces" features Stevie Stone, a childhood friend from the neighborhood. The single appeals to those who can relate to the day-to-day hustle. Syck and Stevie's approach in this gangsta track considers multiple devious approaches that will increase their net worth at the expense of the well-connected streets. The single is available on all digital music platforms including Spotify and Apple Music. Be sure to connect with SyckCezzy on all social media and digital music platforms.
